The Stone of Madness Dicefall is a tactical stealth cooperative board game for one to five players. Players jointly control five prisoners confined in an isolated monastery ruled by the Inquisition. Each prisoner has different abilities, restrictions and mental conditions.

The game is played in structured rounds where players assign actions to prisoners, move them around the monastery and interact with rooms, objects and targets. Actions are resolved by dice. The dice represent uncertainty under pressure and are closely linked to the character who performs the action and the current situation.

Stealth is the core of experience. Many actions generate noise, which increases the tension and causes the Inquisition patrols to react and reposition themselves. The movement and behavior of patrols respond to players decisions and accumulated alerts, turning the monastery into an active threat rather than a static board. Avoiding detection requires coordination, synchronization and moderation.

As the game progresses, prisoners are affected by madness and phobias represented through cards. These effects restrict available actions, impose mandatory behaviors, or disrupt carefully planned strategies. Mental decline is a central pressure and must be managed collectively, as ignoring it can quickly lead to failure.

The monastery is built using modular mosaics and narrative elements, ensuring that goals, designs and challenges vary between sessions.

Players win the game by successfully completing the mission goals defined by that scenario. Players lose if the monastery reaches a critical alert state or if prisoners can no longer continue the escape due to cumulative consequences, containment or mental collapse.

Victory depends on coordination, careful planning, and handling of both physical exposure and psychological pressure throughout the mission.
